Well Jamie has been out of work for over 2 months now. I can not believe how fast it has gone by. He has applied for over 40 jobs and has not had one single interview. Not one. He had a calling to a railroad hiring session but never made it to the interviewing process. In the meantime he was required to go to a couple of Workone workshops which were actually really encouraging!
At the first one he found out that he can go back to school, while still receiving unemployment, AND that the state would pay for it! The requirements were that he had to pick from a list of predetermined degrees and go to the closest, cheapest school for that degree. Then he must apply for lots of grants and get all the funds he can and then the state would take care of the rest. We are stoked. Jamie was a little disappointed that he couldn't go to the Art Institute Online (he has like 6 credits from there) but we are praying they transfer to Ivy Tech, which by the way he has been officially accepted to for spring semester : ) SO he is going to school for graphic design and I am just so excited for him!
Ways you can pray: that credits transfer, that we get enough grant money that it pays completely for school and for living expenses too, that God would continue to lead us : )
