Life as I Know It

While I was at Walmart today, putting a cart back in the cart corral, I found myself day dreaming. I remembered a winter afternoon, similar to today, when Jamie and I were out and about and decided to stop into Walmart to purchase a couple of cd's. I remember asking him, "Where to now?" and he said "Wherever you want to go..." and by the look on his face you knew he (and I) didn't have a care in the world.....  My reminiscing was suddenly interrupted by the muffle of screaming kids from inside my van and a look on Jamie's face that said "get in the van so we can get these groceries AND kids home!!!" That moment just seems so, so, soooooo long ago : ) I love my lil family <3

He Said She Said

Well I decided to add a new label to my blogs.. he said she said...for all the hilarious conversations I seem to encounter around here.

Juju: Look, Mommy! A cow!

Me: Oh hunny, that's an elephant. Can you say elephant?

Juju: MOOOO!!!

Mom: Well I am trying to start a compost in my yard but I don't want to throw the meat out there

Me: Why not?

Mom: Because I don't want raccoons and chipmunks and skunks...

Me: and bears

Mom: oh bears would be fine...the others just do to much damage

Me: yea your right, bears are so cute and cuddly....

Juju (all to herself): What you wanna watch? Elmo? No...no elmo..(I may tell her no to elmo like 5 times a day)

Jamie, after Juju so lovingly punched him in between his legs: I swear this kid has a vendetta on my nuts!

Me: Look at this new afghan my mom is sending me! Isn't it cool?!?

Jamie: Yea

Me: Are you lying? Do you think it is ugly?

Jamie shakes his head no

Juju: YES! (runs away)

Me: Do you want to go see Ricky tomorrow?

Juju: C'MON! (runs to the door) Lets go! Shoes! Lets go!

Me: I take that as a yes...

Jamie and I were on a date and stopping at Starbucks when he said: I was going to ask you if you mind going in but then I realized that the girls aren't in the car and we can both go inside and stand in line like to normal people.

I was teasing Juju about where the nose is located, I kept pointing to the chin or ears. She finally freaked out and said :NO MAMA! NOSE! (points at Sketti's nose) NOSE! (meatball's nose) NOSE! (Justice's) NOSE! (mine) NOOOSSSEEEE! (Juju's nose)

Juju knocking on the door while I am in the bathroom: Mama what you doing?

Me: I am on the potty, I will be out in a minute

Juju: Do you need a bath?

Me: Who is crying?

Jamie: I think it is Justice

After several attempts to get her to sleep I finally give in and bring her in the living room

Justice (all smiles): hehehe

Mom thought that she had forgotten Jamie's birthday but was actually three days early. This is what we heard on the voicemail "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Jamie, happy birthday to you...We love you Jamie, bye.....Oh man, that is gonna save my butt..."

I am sure I will have more soon...that is most of the funny stuff going on around here : )

A Mommy's Thankful Prayer (In all sincerity and a true story)

Thank you, Lord that Jusi was crying and crying and crying for me to hold her. I needed a break from laundry and dishes and cleaning today anyhow.

Thank you, Lord for the spare bedroom I have. I really needed it today to put Juju in because she was screaming and crying and throwing a fit, so loud, that she would have woken up Jusi.

Thank you, Lord that my daughter has no bumps or bruises from crawling out of her pack n play today during nap time.

Thank you, Lord that I had a wire hanger in my home. Right after Jubilee crawled out of the pack n play she decided to lock herself in the spare bedroom, and that wire hanger suuuure came in handy.

Thank you, Lord for coffee and cream and lots of sugar to calm me down.

Thank you, Lord for Finding Nemo...it just calms EVERYONE down.

Thank you, Lord that my husband is on his way home and I can BREATHE for a second : )

Nicknames

Jubilee has been known as:

Chuggs (because Daddy that she was adorable and hilarious whenever she would get her bottle)
Gozer, the destroyer...I think that explains itself
Juju
Jubjub (another name from Daddy)
Love Bug (my pet name)
Juby (Joyce and Dad Jim primarily call her this)
the little one

And Justice:

Squeaker (as she sounds like a guinea pig in her sleep lol)
Jusi (Juju sometimes calls her that and I find myself wanting to call her that now)
Sissy
Lovey (another pet name)
Captain Hammer (Stacey thought of this one and I love it)
the littlest one (dad usually says this one..."its the littlest one!" and he has this hilarious voice that goes with it)

So far Juju and Sissy are the ones we use primarily. This blog has no informational value and is just so I can look back and smile, as are most of my blog entries. Ok then.

Life As We Know It

Well, I am sitting here blogging for a minute before I take a deep breath and start all over with this house. Yesterday I CLEANED it...spic and span...and now it is half way back to where it was. BLAH. Sometimes it gets a little repetitious around here. Clean the kitchen, pick up allllll the clothes everywhere, change diapers, feed Justice, make Jubilee some food, clean the kitchen, pick up all the toys, get the girls to nap, pick up all the clothes, change the diapers, take out the trash (that happens almost everyday), make them some food, clean the kitchen, baths for everyone, put them to bed....by this time I don't want to clean or pick up anymore so the kitchen and the clothes are all ready to start again in the morning. HAH and in the meantime you have blues clues, wonder pets, Elmo, or some pixar motion picture playing in the background. Over and over and over again : ) I started going through some stuff yesterday to condense clutter...I would say it was successful.

I need a cup of coffee from Caribou and a grownup conversation. Just for like an hour. And then I can go back to being Supermom! ; )

Preggerzilla!

The Way It Is

The hubby and I were sitting at Chili's yesterday after a couple of hours of mall walking, grocery shopping, and errand running. We were about to finish up our meal (which of course had a couple of boxes of leftover.)

Now for Hubby....alllll he is thinking is....I am sitting at Chili's. I just need to get home and sit on the couch. Chili's to couch....doesn't matter how I get there...that's the goal.

Now for myself...I am sitting there starting to get the anxiety I always get after an outting like this. In the back of my head I know we have to get the leftovers and the baby out to the truck and once we get home we need to get all the groceries and all of the house hold goods, along with the baby, into the apartment. It doesn't end there...because the dog hasn't been out in three hours and Jubilee needs a bath before bed. So who will be doing these things while the frozen groceries are put away? Not to mention I wouldnt mind having a shower myself after all this is said and done.

Thats how different we are. I have all the details running around and floating in the back of my head while he just thinks....a to b....thats why men get in trouble with decisions see.....they just see a big screen tv and dont think what it will take to get there...they just see themselves sitting in front of it. While us detailed ladies see how it is going to affect our rent, grocery budget, and that new washer we have been saving for.

Yep...thats how I see it. There may be a few people this doesnt apply to...but in my household its so true : )

You know you're jealous

My legs keep cramping, my eyes are blurry, my head aches, my ribs are bruised, my back and neck are stiff, and I know I didn't get a very rested night of sleep. I have no motivation to do anything let alone work 12 hours between today and tomorrow. I miss my family and wish Jamie was home. I am cranky and sleepy and ready to take up permanent residence in my pajamas...at least until next year ; )
