Retail Fail
I feel as though everywhere I have been lately I have witnessed FAIL! As I was adding it all up I realized...it's mostly retail...enjoy!
Heard in Hobby Lobby: 9 feet is 1 yard right?
In Kmart
Jean: Excuse me sir, I was wondering if someone could help me find paint thinner
Kmart Dude (found in electronics): Uhm...did you look in the paint department?
Jean: Yessss
KD: Well then we don't have it
Jean: Okay then, can I just get someone from that department over here
KD: That would be me
Jean: Super....have a good one....
In Walmart
I was waiting in crafts for someone to cut some fabric for about a total of an hour (had gone there twice that day with no help...even though I had asked other departments) So I took the fabric, cut it myself and took it and the skews to the front.
Jean: I am so sorry to put you through the trouble but (explains story) just wondering if you could ring these up so I can go home
Cashier: NO PROBLEM! I am so sorry Maam...let me get a manager
Manager walks over and after being explained the situation: Look here lady I have a line at deli, photo, clothing and fabric...you are the last thing on my mind. You need to go back there and stand in line like everyone else
Jean: There was no one there when I was back there, I was the only one in line. I would appreciate it if you could just ring these up
Manager: I can't do that because I doubt you cut them the right length. You are just going to have to go back there and wait
Jean: No thats ok...you can have them...Ill go to Hobby Lobby
(by the way this was sooooo a pregger moment I would have never cut my own fabric!)
Walmart (yay)
Jean: *rings bell for service at clothing*
Jean: waits for 5 minutes
Jean: *rings bell a little lowder, unsure anyone heard it*
Walmart Worker: OKAY! I heard you the FIRST time
Little quaint shop in Michigan
Jean: Hello, I am sorry to bother you. I was actually here earlier today and the cashier, Becca, shorted me three dollars.
Cashier: Okay
Jean: *gives blank look*
Cashier: Well I can leave a note for the manager
Jean: Actually I live out of town so I was wondering if I could get my change now
Cashier: Well...I don't know about that
Jean: *gives blank look*
Cashier: I would have to count the drawer
Jean: *looks around to see no one in line and just a couple of people in the store* Okay...I can wait
Cashier: Okay.....Ill let you know if it is 3 dollars short
Jean walks away as Jamie says :She knows it has to be 3 over right?
Cashier: Okay...here is your 3 dollars
Jean: Was it over?
Cashier: yea...
Jean: Okay thanks I...
Cashier: Whatever makes you happy (sarcastic)
Jean: I appreciate it.....*walks away feeling AKWARD*
IS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEAD!? How hard is it to apologize/walk someone over to a product/help the tired pregnant lady measure out the tool! Ok I vented : )

FAIL!
Oh man, I love being in small town simple nowhere but there ARE somethings that seem to...fail here. Such as..
In the burbs it was SOOO nice to just do everything online....in your own home everything was a click away. Out here in the middle of nowhere Colts country (GO COLTS! WOOT!) in order to start service and stop service for your water you must pay a deposit, up front, AND in person. In Chicago any kind of deposit you had was split up into bills and did not need to be paid before you could have the services...such as water...a fluid that you need to LIVE!FAIL! And you wonder why the lady looked at me funny when I asked if they took Visa.
I was at Aldi enjoying all the cheapo groceries and trying to remember why I never shopped at this particular one before. I went to go check out all of my goodies and I stood at the counter for. five. minutes. Where was the clerk you ask? Right next to me. Stocking shelves. She looked at me twice. Uhm...FAIL! Maybe Aldi should train their employees on customers first?
As I was leaving Aldi I asked a gentleman in a rather worn out sweat suit and grungy sock cap if he would like to use my cart. Through the scratchy smoker voice and smacking of his 80+ year old gums I think...I THINK I heard..."Naw all I neeza gallon a chocolate milk. I dun reckon Id need much more den dat" I heart you old man...but FAIL!
As I was going through my neighborhood I saw a younger gentleman pushing a very expensive pimped out stroller, smoking a cigarette over the stroller of course, wearing sweat pants, a wife beater, and a fedora...enough said...FAIL!
For some reason they have taken 2 months to fix a fourth of a mile of road out here on one of our busiest entrances into Peru, taking all the cars on this little stretch of country road that is winding, and out of the way. Not only inconvenient, is said road, but does not seem to be made for two vehicles let alone population Peru. FAIL!
My brother comes home from the church we grew up in and tells me, on my anniversary no less, that he ran into my ex. He then proceeds to tell me the conversation
K: Hey how are you?
Guy: I am good how....
K(interrupting): How are your parents?
Guy: uhm...goo....
K(again cant wait for conclusion to answer): Well I tried to talk to your Dad on facebook. He never replied. Why is that? *stares condemningish at son of man who did not talk to him* Let it go dude that was like last summer.... CREEPY FAIL!
And there you have it...may have another one, one day...but for now this is it. AND I am not complaining about my beloved Peru in anyway...just appreciating how special it has become to me...LOL
