Gu(y)lliver's Travels

WELL My time with Guy was amazing!! My parents were in and out to see him, we also had lots of random visitors and lots and lots of great discussions. I am super proud of him for serving our nation and for his maturity over the past couple of years.



I had to drive him up to Ohare at 11:45pm on Thanksgiving...I thought the traffic would be awful for Black Friday but it wasn't bad at all. We made it to Ohare at about 2 oclock and that was with me stopping every hour because I was so sick! (Did you gain 5 lbs? coz I lost 5! believe me I would have much rather had some turkey!!!!!) When we pulled up to ohare it was kind of eerie. There was only a couple of people here and there and it was 5 hours before his flight. I had to leave him there though because I had to get back to watch the girls when Jamie went to work. I remember hugging him and watching him go inside and when I drove away I felt so empty. I know Guy is there for a reason and I totally have a peace about everything he does...but just knowing I couldn't see him again till spring...that kills me.





Good news is he will be stateside by spring and hopefully I can see him more than twice a year : )
